There are many great spaces to enjoy family time. Have meals on the screened in porch or stay up telling stories around the fire pit together. The cabin overlooks a 32 acre spring fed lake that is surrounded by woods and pasture that is grazed by beef cattle. The property has a wide variety of wildlife, including beaver, eagles, herons, and many other furry and feathered friends. The lake has a plethra of bluegill, crappie, large and small mouth bass, catfish and is great for fishing. The cabin has a full kitchen with stove, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, and coffee pot. It is stocked with a variety of pots, pans and dishware. The bathroom has a stand up shower with no bathtub. Most of the property, with the exception of directly around the cabin and an area for swimming, is grazed by beef cattle. There is a locked gate at the entrance to the cabin that must stay shut at all times for the cattle. The mother cows and calves will rarely come near you and it is important that they are left alone, but they are fun to watch. There is a canoe and a rowboat to use at the lake, and some life jackets. There is a fire ring and wood is provided for you. There are also picnic tables on the screened in porch and out by the fire ring area. There is also an outdoor grill that uses charcoal. The most important feature, however, is access to Harrington Point’s private beach and picnic area just steps away from the cottage, or if you prefer, you can drive down the hill and park, making it easier to transport blankets, chairs, towels, picnic baskets, etc to the water’s edge. The beach area features a short pier, swing set, picnic table, and grassy area under the shade of a grand willow tree. Locally, Conneaut boasts a variety of restaurants and taverns. Conneaut Creek and the Port of Conneaut draw fishermen and boaters from all around. Conneaut Township Park features a vast public beach with boardwalks, pavilions, concessions, a playground, basketball courts, and picnic areas. Township Park also hosts one of the nations largest D-Day re-enactments every August drawing tens of thousands from all over the country. For decades this cottage was booked solid with regulars who had standing reservations. As guests and the owner aged the property remained well-maintained, but was never marketed and use diminished. You can feed the ducks, play frisbee golf, or sit on a swing and enjoy the water. Walnut Beach is a mile and a half to the west. Conneaut township Park is located 12 miles to the east- on 60 acres, it offers something to do for everyone. From playgrounds to soccer fields and basketball courts. Lunch might be at Crow's Nest - a family owned restaurant a block from our home, where the best wings (among other things) can be eaten. A half mile West is Historic Bridge Street (2018 winner of "America's Main Street" contest, where, after shopping at the boutique stores or the art gallery, you can have a great cup of coffee at the Harbor Perk, a glass of fine wine at Fitzgerald's or Halcyon, and choose a meal from pizza, smoke bbq, steak or other amazing entrée. Dessert can be ice cream at Cones or at Marianne's (But be sure to go to Marianne's early for her homemade chocolate!) Harbor Laundry is a few miles away, if you need to wash clothes. Getting around: 1,000 feet to Route 11, you are a hop, skip and a jump to the many covered bridges, wineries and events in Ashtabula County. We are 15 minutes from the Spire in Geneva. Also 15 minutes from Geneva-on- the-Lake, if you don't get stopped by the Bascule Bridge in the Harbor - then add 10 minutes.

Situated conveniently down the street from Mosquito Lake, this two-bedroom home sits on just under 4 acres of land and is the perfect getaway for a long weekend or extended summer stay. Our home easily sleeps up to five people and features a full kitchen, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and a large back patio overlooking an onsite pond with plenty of birdwatching. There is ample room to park boats and trailers on site (no RV hook up or travel trailers). We are located less than a half mile to the Sunside Trailhead which takes its visitors through open fields, sheltering forests, and past suburban neighborhoods. This is a paved multi-use trail which caters to bicyclists, runners, equestrians, and cross-country skiers. During your visit explore nearby Amish country or one of the local state parks. Approximately one hour from both Cleveland and Pittsburgh, our home is convenient for day trips to explore museums, visit the zoo, shopping, and even to catch a ball game! Our house features a living room with a 49” LG Smart TV and plenty of board games to keep the whole family entertained. Enjoy viewing the natural wildlife from the large bay window in the sitting room which can double as sleeping space with a convertible sofa. Our kitchen is equipped with everything guests might need to turn the catch of the day into a delicious feast including a full-size fridge, stove/oven, dishwasher, Keurig, crock pot, panini press, microwave, pots/pan, utensils, and place settings for eight. We also feature a Kinetico K5 reverse osmosis system that provides the highest quality drinking water to our guests. Next to the kitchen is a mudroom that offers a washer/dryer combo free of charge to guests as well as a small shower to allow for easy clean up after any outdoor adventure. Enjoy watching the 32” LG Smart TV from the queen size bed in the master bedroom. New Sealy mattress and memory foam pillows provide a blissful night sleep. Additionally, a luggage rack is provided to help guests keep their belongings tidy. A desk containing built in USB ports is available to keep you connected if you choose. The kitchen has all of the cooking implements needed to make your own meals. There are both indoor and outdoor fireplaces to enjoy warm cozy nights around. We also have a playground for kids to enjoy. As a guest you are welcome to enjoy a nature walk through the woods, or just relax in one of the hammocks around the fire. We are located in the heart of Ohio’s wine country and there are many beautiful winery’s located just a few minutes drive away. Although the suite sleeps 4 comfortably it could sleep up to 5 if you utilize the sectional couch.
